Shooting in the 2500 Block of Egret Shores Drive in Orlando, Florida, on Monday

When it comes to a shootout, the 2500 block of Egret Shores Drive in Orlando is not an area to be trifled with. Thankfully, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is on the case. Its officers responded to a report of a shooting in the early hours of Monday morning. After conducting a thorough investigation, a 29-year-old man was arrested on a first degree murder charge. He was held without bail, but the suspect is now in custody and in the OCSO’s good graces.

The OCS is still investigating the case, but the initial response suggests that the victim was a young adult male. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a shooting was reported around 1:37 a.m. Luckily for the OCS, the victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital. As for the details, the sheriff’s office is currently reviewing the investigation and will make an official statement when it is available.

The aforementioned incident, as with most similar cases, is not exactly the most glaringly obvious. For instance, the 2500 block of Egret shores Drive is a short distance from the upscale Mall of America, so the perpetrator is likely in the vicinity of his or her destination. However, the shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning, so it may be that the suspect is not as close to his destination as the aforementioned reports suggest. Regardless, the aforementioned report is still in the news, as is the fact that a well-known former Michigan State basketball star has died of an apparent gunshot wound.
