Professional Career

Brunk began wrestling for Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling (FMW) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling under his stage name of Sabu before working for World Championship Wrestling before making his ECW debut.

Brunk was known for his high-flying wrestling style and donned a mask as part of his persona. Unfortunately, during his ECW career he sustained numerous injuries, including two neck breaks; the first occurred at Chris Benoit’s 1994 November to Remember match when Sabu was thrown onto a flapjack bump; while Taz caused another breakage two months later during an on-air match against Taz.

Adam Brunk works for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s London office where he provides private equity acquisition, disposition and joint venture advisory services on behalf of leading international fund sponsors.

Achievement and Honors

Adam Brunk specialises in real estate acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of leading international fund sponsors, such as Blackstone Real Estate Partners and Hudson Pacific Properties in the UK.

Jacob Ellis of Columbia, Missouri and Adam Brunk from Holts Summit, Missouri were honored for their bravery on August 21, 2016, when they saved two individuals involved in a traffic accident by extricating them before their vehicle caught on fire. These heroes are unique among Medal of Honor recipients as their deed took place far from any battlefield but in their local communities back home.

Brunk transferred from Butler after just one season under new coach Chris Holtmann to Indiana to use up his final two years of eligibility. As a freshman he started every game while averaging 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per contest.

Personal Life

Joseph Brunk was born in Maryland to Joseph Stouffer Brunk and Anna Maria Hess Brunck (nee Stauffer or Brunck).

Once graduated from Butler, Brunk began his professional wrestling career with the AWWL/BTW promotion. In his inaugural match he defeated N8 Mattson but his second was an absolute disaster as it caused severe neck damage that would put him out for 10 months.

At Hardcore Homecoming in December, he defeated Terry Funk and Shane Douglas in a three-way no-ropes barbed wire match, before competing at ECW One Night Stand two days later where he defeated Rhyno.

Personal details about him: Jarrett Brunk is survived by two siblings: Ronald D. Brunk of Harrisonburg with wife Lauren Jefferson; Renee D. Branner from Bridgewater (wife Michael); as well as former spouse Edna.
