Thad Calabrese

Thad Calabrese specializes in teaching financial management theories and techniques to organizations providing public services. His work has been featured in prestigious academic journals like Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Nonprofit Management & Leadership Journal and Public Budgeting and Finance Journal.

She worked at UofL from November 2007 until May 2010, serving as assistant director of student-athlete development and gaining sport administrator experience across various programs at the university.

Early Life and Education

Calabrese was born and raised in Massachusetts before graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University with honors in English in 2007. A native of Fall River, she played college soccer for Lehigh’s Mountain Hawks winning both Patriot League championships during her time as well as helping them secure one during her junior year of play. Later she earned a law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in Hamden Connecticut.

As Vice President of Agawam City Council and member of Massachusetts Municipal Councillors Association – District 1, she currently holds both positions.

Chapdelaine first served Arlington’s town manager for two years before taking on his current role of city administrator in 2012. With extensive municipal leadership and policy-making experience, Chapdelaine joined with MMA Executive Director Geoff Beckwith to drive forward an aggressive agenda so municipalities have access to resources they require.

Professional Career

Adams has the athleticism and top speed necessary to become an elite baseball player; however, his bat has yet to reflect this talent at the plate. He frequently switches his swing up while still struggling with his approach to the game; therefore he should focus on hitting line drives and keeping the ball in play.

Calabrese’s 2022 squad earned all-conference recognition. Lucca Dourado, Anderson Rosa and Vivi Munoz each were named all-conference honorees on that team.

Framingham State University graduate David Kowalczik spent two seasons as the Assistant Coach and Goaltending Coach at Becker College (NCAA DIII). Additionally, he has worked for The Goalie Doctor and Stop It Goaltending. Currently residing in Warrington, PA

Achievement and Honors

He has conducted choruses and professional opera and symphonic ensembles throughout North America, Europe, and South Africa – including choirs that were chosen three times to perform at national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association.

Calabrese has been with University of Louisville full time since 2007 and was appointed Associate Athletic Director in 2022. As primary sport administrator for women’s basketball, field hockey, and women’s soccer; she oversees life skills programming for student-athletes while participating in community outreach projects.

Adam Calabrese is an alum of Ignite Louisville and Leadership Louisville programs as well as the NCAA Pathways program, serving on multiple ACC committees and is the son of Gus and Robin Calabrese with one brother Tyler.

Personal Life

Donna was an artist in all forms, winning awards for ceramics and drawings throughout her lifetime. Additionally, Donna enjoyed reading and crocheting – as well as outdoor activities and gardening. Donna resided at Bethesda Care Center in Fremont for the last year-and-a-half.

She previously held the assistant director of student-athlete development position from November 2007 until May 2010. As an administrator, she worked with numerous sports programs and gained valuable experience.

Calabrese was an Ignite Louisville and Leadership Louisville graduate as well as a member of Women Leaders in College Sports. Together with her husband Rich, Calabrese raised three children. Additionally, she is grandmother to eight grandchildren whom will all miss her greatly. Her family will greatly miss her presence among us.
