Cantor launched his radio career with the NBC program Time to Smile, followed by Pabst Blue Ribbon Show and eventually Chase and Sanborn Hour where he served as an emcee until 1950. On these shows he would introduce musical acts, star guests, as well as comical characters such as Maxie the Taxi.

Professional Career
Adam Canter is a board-certified urologist and cancer specialist working for Georgia Urology’s Midtown and Riverdale offices. As leader of their Advanced Prostate Cancer Team he oversees treatment for advanced prostate cancer as well as having written numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and textbook chapters.
Since 2014, he has served as Natural Resources Director with the Wiyot Tribe Natural Resouces Department. In this position, he oversees research and grants designed to preserve culturally significant plants while returning forestland back to Wiyot citizens for traditional land management practices.
He is also an accomplished jazz musician, having performed at Reverie, Jazz Central, Black Dog and the Icehouse as well as teaching at Twin Cities Jazz Workshop. Additionally, he has recorded with and performed with various groups such as KC Big Band, JazzMN and Pete Whitman’s X-tet.

They both enjoy surfing together when time allows; both reside in Los Angeles, California. Elizabeth also enjoys knitting and mahjong playing as hobbies.
