Adam earned both his BA in English Literature from Duke University as well as an MFA in Poetry from Boston University.
Early Life and Education
Adam Eaglin grew up in North Carolina and attended Duke University to study English literature and creative writing. While at Boston University he earned his MFA in poetry. Subsequently he worked as an editorial assistant at Basic Books before pursuing his literary ambitions full time by joining The Cheney Agency as an agent in 2012. Since then his client base spans history, politics, arts & culture, science & technology as well.

Adam Eaglin is a distinguished writer who has won multiple accolades over time, such as the Harry Wilson Prize for Excellence in English and Sudler Prize in Creative Writing, among many others.
He is honored to sit on several Duke University award committees, such as the esteemed Duke Humanities Council. Furthermore, his literary credentials include an MFA in poetry from Boston University where he studied under Louise Gluck.
He also holds membership with the Duke Alumni Association, an enduring philanthropic group known for supporting Duke students and faculty through donations and grants. This year he was one of ten alumni chosen for Duke’s coveted Distinguished Alumnus award.
