Early Life and Education

Patty and Joe Lemel created Project ADAM — or Automated Defibrillators in Adam’s Memory — after Adam died unexpectedly on a basketball court of sudden cardiac arrest, in order to ensure all schools have access to AEDs.

Lake Local students have been learning about sudden cardiac arrest and how to respond if someone collapses. Their teachers and nurses are nearing completion on becoming Stark County’s inaugural Heart Safe School through Project ADAM.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital of Memphis, Tennessee initiated this project. As part of a national program involving hospitals across multiple states, their Chapter provides education about sudden cardiac death for students and staff; additionally they assist schools in creating emergency action plans in case an event should arise that necessitates cardiac intervention.

Professional Career

Adam Safer is an accomplished litigator, working closely with clients to devise long-term strategies to overcome immediate obstacles and bring positive outcomes over time. A proficient legal writer, Adam has successfully briefed and won precedent-setting decisions before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Adam has extensive experience representing financial institutions, middle market companies and senior level executives.

After graduating with highest distinction from Georgetown Law Center’s Day Division class, he clerked for Honorable Thomas A. Flannery of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; accompanying him as he heard cases against Neo-Nazis and Klansmen.

Safer is also actively engaged in pro bono work through Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s Bluhm Legal Clinic and Center on Wrongful Convictions, performing with JeWop as their bassist/vocalist.

Personal Life

Adam is a family man and understands the value of spending quality time with loved ones. After working for an 80+ hour workweek for a New York hedge fund, his personal life became burdened and decided to quit to focus on his family instead. Adam strongly advocates for children and believes quality education is the cornerstone of success, especially in poorer communities. Additionally he provides support to causes helping families deal with brain injury, spinal cord injury, burns, amputation and wrongful death cases.

Adam serves as a partner in Fiducient Advisors, overseeing assets belonging to high net worth families, private foundations and nonprofit clients. His expertise lies in devising risk-managed strategies spanning hard real estate assets, liquidity market assets and derivatives.

He owns several notable homes, such as his magnificent palace in Los Angeles’ Palisades neighborhood and two other properties across California as well as one place in New Hampshire.
