BTS Goes to Military Service

A scholarly article about BTS has revealed that the group will soon have to serve military service. The Military Manpower Administration (MODA) and Ministry of National Defense are responsible to enlist the members of K-pop. Culture Minister Park Yang-woo stated that there is no such system of exemption for artists from popular culture. BTS has not yet submitted a request for this exemption. The group’s future is uncertain.
