He is a father of three, and had been driving the car with his twin boys, Romello and Carmello. Although the crash was relatively minor, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed. As a result, it smashed into a brick retaining wall, causing a cascade of debris.
The vehicle was removed from the scene at approximately 11pm ET. Several people were also taken to the hospital in various stages of recovery. There were a couple of fatalities, though it was a relatively minor snafu. According to the police, the Nissan Altima was wanted by Westchester County police for multiple larceny investigations in Connecticut. It is thought that the Altima may have been involved in a series of crashes, which led to its downfall. Aside from the aforementioned incidents, there were several other crashes on the same stretch of roadway. Another noteworthy accident occurred when a Union Taxi collided with a pedestrian signal light at a sidewalk intersection. While the pedestrian was able to walk off the scene, the driver of the Taxi was not.
There was also an incident on a nearby road when a tractor trailer hit a bus and sloshed over a hundred gallons of liquid onto the roadway. As a result, the city’s roads were slippery enough to cause several accidents. An additional incident happened when a silver 4-door Toyota Camry and a silver colored taxi struck a pedestrian on an adjacent street. Both vehicles were towed to Safeway’s Towing yard. Despite these unfortunate accidents, the smoky streets of New Rochelle were left in better shape than ever before. After the aforementioned calamity, the New Rochelle Police Traffic unit was tasked with investigating the case and determining if the culprits were actually the real deal.
