Daniel Bauman is an experienced senior financial executive with experience working with numerous private equity owners and is skilled at business strategy, leadership and driving growth.
He has managed large teams and expertly navigated decision making while driving projects forward. Additionally, he possesses an in-depth cultural understanding of the communities with which we collaborate.
Early Life and Education
Daniel Baumann was an athletic prodigy. He loved playing basketball, football and baseball with his friends; as well as cooking and cleaning. Daniel always took on new challenges without fear and always made people laugh with his unique way of saying things.
He served for years in New York’s homeless shelter system as a psychiatrist, offering mental health services in SROs and on the streets to both the general homeless population and particularly sex trafficked adolescents. Today he maintains a private practice focused on traumatized adolescents.
Mr. Montanari was a cherished father to SueAnne Montanari of Jamison and William Baumann (Tiffany Nguyen) of Northeast Philadelphia and an adoring grandfather to Nicole, Eric Jr., Elexia Lank and James Baumann. Additionally he was brother of Lynnette Weltikol of Stanley and Tom Rich of Williston.
Professional Career
Dan Baumann has held senior executive roles for an array of companies and industries over his thirty year career, from audio visual companies where he helped drive significant growth through acquisitions to residential property management services firms where his leadership expanded portfolios and exceeded NOI targets. Dan also has extensive experience working with private equity owners and leadership teams to promote growth – experience he feels North Branch will benefit greatly from.
He and his wife spend much of their free time volunteering for various community service organizations, while being very passionate fans of Pittsburgh Steelers football team.
Achievement and Honors
As a sophomore, Bauman received a Griswold-Zepp scholarship to work on a community outreach project alongside other McDaniel students during an alternative spring break trip. This involved building a greenhouse as well as providing assistance for Carroll County Food Sunday, an area nonprofit.
Bauman has led Spring Arbor’s athletic communication office since 2015, including website management, media relations and in-game statistics for 20 sports. In 2019 he was honored as Crossroads League Sports Information Director of the Year while remaining an active member of NAIA-SIDA.
Taylor Bauman of Charlottesville, Virginia won the Mary Ward Lewis Prize as the College’s top graduating senior during Commencement weekend. Additionally, she became Green Terror volleyball history’s first two-time Academic All-American while receiving both Maria Leonard Senior Book Award and H.P. Sturdivant Biology Award recognitions.
Personal Life
Daniel Baumann was a dedicated father and proudly enjoyed spending his days off with his children. An avid sports fan, Daniel would spend much of his free time playing ice hockey with his nephews – always keeping them smiling with one-liners that kept them laughing!
Baumann was arrested by Paul Johnson, the school resource officer, after joining his daughter Isabel in participating in anti-masker protests at her school gate. Baumann had been accused of creating a disturbance by recording other students while at the gate and was accused of creating an illegal disruption by filming other students who were also present.
Baumann currently spends half his year traveling around the globe and teaching at YWAM training schools, motivating and encouraging young people to fall in love with Jesus and pursue him more fully. Additionally, he often leads mission trips to Iran – where he was once imprisoned for nine weeks!
