The Dan Everyone Knows
Bergen County Police Officer Daniel Breslin may appear unaffected by his near fatal car accident. Although scars remain on his head, he still looks and acts much as before.
He went from reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad in jail cell to flipping properties worth over 3 Million Dollars, serving as an inspiration and proof that anyone can reach success if they work hard enough towards it.
Early Life and Education
Breslin had no recollection of the incident until recently; he didn’t know he was visiting the Easter Bunny just hours before he was rear-ended on Route 46 in Lodi.
Raised in New York and graduating from Manhattan College, he worked as a radio script writer for various programs featuring Lionel Barrymore. His short story “Bad Day at Honda,” later made into a film starring Spencer Tracy, first appeared in The American Magazine in 1947; under Michael Niall he published additional works.

After months in the hospital, he moved to Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation in West Orange and has received physical, occupational and cognitive therapy there. Although he still doesn’t recall his accident and struggles with short-term memory loss, his hopes to return to work one day are contingent upon receiving full coverage from insurance. Since his accident he has raised more than $100,000 through charity baseball/softball games as well as online fundraisers – most recently an auction to benefit Kessler.
