Artist – Daniel Nearing

Daniel Nearing took an unconventional route into painting. Instead of being groomed from birth to become an artist, his artistic journey came gradually and organically. His relaxed sensibility finds an outlet in oil paintings that are rarely somber; oftentimes they can even be thought-provoking! Nearing’s favorite subjects include candy, dogs and cows but each depiction bears his signature style that makes each one completely original.

Achievement and Honors

He has received many prestigious awards throughout his career, such as the Indian National Award for Cinematography. Additionally, he has won many other international honors for his films and television projects; most notably being honored with a Filmfare Best Actor Award for Kahaani.

Apart from acting, he has also written scripts for many popular Bollywood movies and been part of the production teams for several TV shows. Additionally, he has collaborated with some well-known celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Ranbir Kapoor during his career.

Personal Life

Daniel Nearing is an award-winning Canadian writer, film director, producer, educator and educator. He studied modern and contemporary literature at the University of Toronto before earning an MFA in film from York University and serving as producer resident at the Canadian Film Centre. Daniel Nearing is also an esteemed educator. In 2015 he was honored as both a John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellow and MacDowell Colony Fellow; additionally he serves as filmmaker in residence for Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events as he writes his period feature set against 1900 novel PETIT MUNDE which will also serve as adaptation. Daniel Also coordinates Governors State University MFA in Independent Filmmaking program from South Chicago
