Daniel Prieto is an American political and military strategist, author and professor. He has held several government positions including serving as senior staff member on the House Homeland Security Committee since 9/11 – helping establish its operation and draft information-sharing provisions into legislation such as 2004 Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act.
Illinois Science Teachers Association honored him as 2010 New Teacher of the Year and published his writings widely on national and homeland security matters, testifying before Congress. Additionally, his writing and commentary have been widely published and his M.A. in international economics and law from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. as well as his B.A. from Wesleyan University of Middletown Connecticut are widely held degrees.
He holds licenses as both real estate broker and state appraiser in Puerto Rico. At Christiansen Commercial he heads their valuation department. Christiansen specializes in industrial and commercial real estate.
