Artist Daniel Tavakoli

Early Life and Education

Tavakoli hails from Iran, and was resettled as refugees by HIAS during the 1980s. Now attending UTEP as an art major and studio art studio major, his chalk artwork has earned recognition at various restaurants and coffee shops around El Paso; Tavakoli hopes this career path may continue full time after graduation. Though often symbolic, his artwork does try to convey feelings or communicate emotion.
