In his free moments, he enjoyed participating in sports. He was a member of the local cycling club and ran marathons for fun.

He was well-known in the running and cycling community. He was a friend to many, generous in spirit, and deeply religious. Additionally, he was an excellent family man.

On June 21st, 2014, David was tragically lost in a biking accident. Survived by his wife Amy Miller and children Joshua, Jaclyn, and Katherine; David was an amazing grandfather as well as hockey coach. He will be sorely missed by many for his vibrant spirit, loving personality and generous heart.
