Their love of the beach inspired them to move near the ocean, where they enjoyed many happy times together. David enjoyed playing golf at Rye Country Club’s annual tournament; hiking, bird watching, as well as being a proud member of the New Hampshire chapter of Boy Scouts.

Kovalchuk’s acquisition by the Devils, who have struggled offensively in recent years, is a huge boost. General Manager Lou Lamoriello acquired him, defenseman Anssi Salmela and a 2010 first-round pick from Atlanta in a stunning deal on Thursday evening.
On Friday night, Kovalchuk was paired with Jamie Langenbrunner and Dainius Zubrus on the top line. Lemaire stressed the necessity of keeping Kovalchuk’s game aligned with their offense; he felt sure this new line could produce goals in the NHL.
