David Leech

David Leech is an acclaimed New Zealand hammer thrower. He represented his country at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

He has also served as president of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain and was appointed OBE in 1987. In 2016, he founded his own architecture practice, david leech architects.

After graduating from Ohio State University, he spent some time in the military, but eventually found his way back to his passion for music. During his time in the Navy he was stationed in Pensacola, Florida where he became a member of The Rounders, the house band at Abe’s 506 Club. He also met Dorothy Ball, whom he later married. They have two children.
