David Persky is an American television writer and director. Along with Sam Denoff, he composed numerous popular episodes for both The Dick Van Dyke Show and That Girl series.
Judge Steven Persky was removed from office Tuesday following an historic recall campaign against him for failing to send former Stanford swimmer Brock Turner more quickly to prison. The campaign specifically criticised Persky’s inaction.
Early Life and Education
David Persky hails from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. After attending Cleveland Heights High School he proceeded to attend University of Michigan.
After graduating college, he became a lawyer and joined Jacobowitz, Garfinkel & Lesman law firm.
He gained expertise by handling several high-profile cases during his legal career and serving on the New York State Bar Association Board of Governors.
As part of his extracurricular activities at Stanhope Elmore High School, he took part in band rehearsals, where he discovered his passion for music. From there he taught himself how to play trumpet.

He gave many pieces from his own artwork to Milton’s collection as well as frequently patronizing local galleries, museums, and cultural institutions in Milton and beyond.
