Early Life and Education

Early childhood experiences shape a child’s brain development and, ultimately, their lifelong health and wellbeing. Particularly, the period between birth and age 3 is crucial as billions of connections between individual neurons are formed.

Early experiences and environments can have both positive and negative effects on a child. Positive influences such as stable, responsive relationships with parents or other adults may strengthen their developing brain, setting them on an advantageous lifelong course.

At Phillips Brooks School, we believe that each child creates their own path through life’s experiences. Therefore, our programs strive to nurture physical, emotional and social development of our students from infancy through early adolescence.
