Early Life and Education
John monu has earned a place of honor in the acting, directing and dramatist world for over two decades. As part of the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company in London, he has performed in numerous stage productions such as Oroonoko, The Honest Whore and Merchant of Venice.
Aside from his work on the stage, he is an accomplished film and television star with credits including EastEnd, Holby City, T.L.C, The Whistle Blower as well as Stigma and White Hawk. To further contribute to African society through acting, Monu & Monu founded an NGO called Friends of Monu & Monu which strives to assist actors and arts practitioners. John Monu has a diverse professional career that encompasses acting roles in theatre, film and television. Additionally, he holds a professorial position within radiology.
John Monu earned his medical degree at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and then pursued residency training in radiology. Subsequently, he pursued fellowships in general radiology, musculoskeletal radiology and nuclear medicine.
He currently holds the position of Professor of Radiology at the University of Michigan in Detroit, MI and is a board-certified radiologist. With an enthusiasm for musculoskeletal imaging and dedication to its advancement, he is actively involved in several medical societies and serves as Vice Chairperson for the Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology. In addition to his teaching duties at U-M, he has traveled internationally to present lectures and review articles related to this field.
