Julia Henry

Julia Henry is the creator of the Garden Squad cozy mysteries set in Massachusetts where she currently resides.

On June 3rd, Downtown Miami welcomed Julia & Henry’s, a seven-story food hall run by King Goose Hospitality that hosts 26 culinary concepts. Julia Tuttle founded Miami while Henry Flagler pioneered development; King Goose is named in their honor.

Early Life and Education

Julia Henry was born in Pennsylvania to Alexander Williams Biddle and Anne Viola Biddle (nee McKennan). She had five siblings.

After graduating college, she began teaching in local schools. Later, she relocated to Bismarck, North Dakota where she worked as a teacher for McLaughlin Preschool Program; additionally she volunteered at YMCA of Fargo-Moorhead Area.

Julia wanted to demonstrate women were equal to men, and did just that by becoming the first European-American woman ever recorded as climbing Pikes Peak in 1858. This feat garnered much praise at the time, appearing in journals including Sybil as well as contributing articles to both Democrat and Whig Press publications. Due to her work being so well received she eventually found employment with New York Herald Tribune newspaper as a reporter.

Professional Career

She brings over 28 years of experience to healthcare operations management, with expertise in strategy development, deployment, measurement, organizational performance review and disciplined execution. Additionally, she excels at identifying operational interdependencies to bridge silos and levels in organizations while driving results.

Dreyfus was a regular cast member on NBC comedy series 30 Rock, co-created with Tina Fey and garnering numerous acclaim, such as multiple Emmy nominations and wins for her work there.

Julia & Henry’s is a multi-floor culinary destination in downtown Miami managed by King Goose Hospitality that features dining and beverage offerings from celebrated chefs and beverage professionals, with opening day festivities taking place June 3 in an Art Deco building dating back to 1936 – one of the first Walgreens stores ever built!

Achievement and Honors

Julia Henry is currently a sophomore at Quakertown Community High School and the Sports Editor for Paw Prints newspaper. She enjoys all sports but particularly supports Philadelphia teams; additionally she’s part of both Panther Marching Band and choir.

Giraldi and his team took great care to preserve as much of its original architecture as possible upon purchasing this building from Stambul Development in 2018.

Julia & Henry’s now offers 26 unique culinary concepts across its seven-floor space, each led by award-winning chefs such as James Beard award recipients and World’s 50 Best chefs. Notable destinations include Torno Subito by Massimo Bottura (an outpost of his Dubai restaurant that earned three Michelin stars), as well as Jose Mendin’s June, which offers gourmet ingredients combined with bold global flavors in its burger offerings.

Personal Life

Julia is an active community activist in various fields and is involved in several charitable organizations. Julia has extensive experience with community based social work; working extensively with children and families dealing with trauma related issues or mental health diagnoses.

She currently resides in Massachusetts where her mysteries take place, where she blogs at Wicked Cozy Authors and Killer Characters while being part of Sisters in Crime.

Later that afternoon, Henry informs Dudley he can leave as his prayer has been answered; Dudley leaves rejoicing but Henry remains unconvinced that Julia was his true goal; instead he believes it should have been a cathedral with Julia as its stained glass window image. After making this point clear to Mrs. Hamilton he adds another condition for its construction: it must feature her late husband’s image within its stained glass window.
