Lucas Otto, 20, Died in a Car Crash

Arthur native Christopher Goff died Thursday morning when his vehicle was struck by a car traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 72, leading the Shoemakers to cancel Thursday night’s game against Quincy as a result.

Early Life and Education

Lucas Otto, an Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond high school baseball and football star who had been driving an automobile when it crashed onto Interstate 72 between Buffalo and Illiopolis at 1:35 AM was found dead at the scene, while another driver suffered minor wounds from the collision.
