Early Life and Education

Mustafa George was born in Alexandria, Egypt and has lived in Washington D.C. since he was seven years old.

He has been practicing medicine for over 30 years, having completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins and then moving onto Washington Hospital Center in Bethesda, Maryland to complete his residency.

He has spearheaded numerous AIDS-related projects over the years. He founded Metropolis Fund, a non-profit organization which raises funds to support local and national AIDS causes, served on boards for Whitman Walker Clinic and Metro Teen AIDS, among other organizations, and currently resides in Maryland with his wife and two children. As an active Muslim, he takes great pride in serving his community.

He has worked on a wide range of transactions and projects, such as structuring, formation, financing and operation of start-up and emerging businesses; commercial agreements; mergers & acquisitions; sale of real estate; and international business deals. His clients range from private equity/venture capital funds, VCs, corporate investors, entrepreneurs and individuals; additionally he provides legal support to government agencies and international clients regarding matters involving regulated entities, regulatory compliance and trade enforcement.

In one year, he managed to conquer the Dardanelles, unify the Ottoman empire, and pave the way for a new Turkish Republic that would remake the world in less than two decades. A champion of national liberation as well as an advocate of humanism and an unifying vision, he set out to revolutionize global politics.

He was honored with a number of awards, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Congressional Gold Medal for his contribution to Turkish national liberation efforts. Additionally, he became the first recipient of the esteemed Order of Merit.

Personal Life

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was born in Salonica, then part of the Ottoman Empire, in 1881 (probably during spring). His father Ali Riza passed away when he was young, leaving him to be raised by his mother Zubeyde.

He attended school and quickly excelled in mathematics. His teacher gave him the name Kemal, which translates as “perfection.”

After graduating from the military academy in Istanbul, he served in a variety of posts throughout the Ottoman Empire. During the Balkan War, he was promoted to lieutenant general in 1916.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was a military leader who spearheaded the Turkish War of Independence and introduced reforms that modernized Turkey. Additionally, he put an end to the centuries-old Ottoman dynasty that had ruled for six centuries, creating the Republic of Turkey in 1923 – representing people’s will.
