At SMCC, he leads advancement efforts to deliver transformative higher education experiences to students. His primary focus is developing strategies that align partnerships and funding streams with strategic goals.
Early Life and Education
Rick Daniels was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend throughout his life. Always present when needed and never taking anything for granted, Rick could always be counted upon to complete any task in hand with speed and commitment.
He attended Army Ranger, Aviation, Airborne and Armor Schools; further acquiring advanced Military Intelligence training. An accomplished marksman with a passion for outdoor pursuits.
He leaves behind his beloved wife India; sons Richard C. and Lawrence E. Daniel; daughter Katherine Jane Daniel and their spouses; brother William Daniels; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins he will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Also left behind are Leonard and Lucy his beloved pets that will greatly miss him.
Ricky Daniel provides innovative and collaborative solutions that enable his clients to close complex deals. Working closely with them to understand their goals and concerns while managing risks effectively in pursuit of their objectives is his specialty.
He graduated from Scituate High School in 1974, taking on a painting job during the summer before enrolling at the University of Massachusetts that fall. Soon thereafter, he received a congressional appointment to the United States Military Academy where he excelled as an Army cadet.
He was an avid sports fan who loved Alabama football, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, playing golf and shooting pool, Busters dining experience and spending time with family and friends. He leaves his wife Hara, sons Nathan, Alexandra Jakob and Richmand to mourn him.
Achievement and Honors
Ricky was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his boys, grandchildren and his beloved dogs. As an active member of Rogers community he served as Chairman of NPTC Private Fleet Management Committee as well as being a National Society of Professional Engineers member ETA Kappa Nu fraternity member and Task Force Leader for Air Gun Standards Development for American Society for Testing Materials board membership and task force leader.
He enjoyed martial arts training and competing, but Alexander was his true joy. He held strong to his faith and always thanked God for all that had been given him in life. Instead of seeking recognition for his efforts he simply desired to leave every place better than when he arrived.
Family was of great importance in Ricky’s life; he was known as their “big brother”. Additionally, Ricky cherished his friends and they played an essential part of his existence; particularly Randy Westlie and Stephanie Westlie from whom he took an extraordinary interest; Georgia Anderson became his closest confidante.
He loved St Louis Cardinals baseball and Alabama football, was passionate about cars, buying and selling them, was active in Lions Club, CERV Thrift Shop and St Peter’s Church of Farmington New Hampshire as well as strong in faith – especially his beloved Yorkie, Jasper! All who knew him will miss him dearly.
His reputation as a composer, film scorer and orchestrator precedes him; he began studying piano, clarinet and saxophone early in life before going on to study music theory, arrangement and composition at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
He owns several homes across multiple countries and is an avid car collector – his collection encompassing both luxury sports cars and eco-friendly electric vehicles. Additionally, he’s an investor with stock in Enterprise Products Partners L P – making four trades valued at over $4,791,027 since 2020.
His net worth stands at approximately $130 Million, most of which was amassed from his singing career. Known as one of the leading Latin performers and often dubbed as “The King of Latin Music”, he enjoys an enormous following on YouTube with videos often including comedic skits or social commentary.
