His legacy will live on through his mother Harriet Brantley of Augusta Georgia as well as Felicia Brantley Stanford of Braselton Georgia along with many nieces and nephews.

He held professorships at both Clemson University and Indiana University. Additionally, he served as chairman of South Carolina Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Council and president of Society of Park and Recreation Educators; additionally he founded a hitting-clinic business and advised Mets during spring training.

Brantley had lived in Mariners Harbor, N.Y., for many years and leaves behind his wife Debra; sons James and Steven; daughter Ronda Miller (and husband Tony); grandchildren Kayla D. Brantley, Konnor Montoya and Lorra Montoya as well as great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dr. Brantley completed his residency at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City. Currently he practices orthopedic surgery with Orthopedic Surgery Associates affiliated with Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and accepts multiple insurance plans; in addition to being board certified.

Achievement and Honors

Brantley was not only active at SUNY Plattsburgh and Clemson University, but was also an influential community member in Lake Placid, serving on the town justice board and volunteering at local schools. Additionally, he enjoyed skiing as an avid member of Adirondack Ski Touring Club.

He was a loving father who instilled hard work, morals and ethics into his children from an early age. Additionally, he enjoyed hunting deer as part of Farmerville Church of Christ membership and hunting deer himself. Duane Brantley leaves behind his wife Anne; sons Duane and Wade as well as daughters Shannon Griffin and Heather Brantley along with stepson Sam Sylar as well as six grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Dr. Brantley is a highly skilled plastic surgeon offering aesthetic procedures in Flowood, MS. His specialties include breast lifts and augmentation, face rejuvenation with nose jobs (rhinoplasty), tummy tucks and body contouring with liposuction.

Personal Life

According to GoFundMe page set up by San Francisco Fire Station 10, a firefighter died just one day before their wedding was set to take place. They joined SFFD as paramedics before becoming firefighters themselves in 2008.
