Steve Enders, NHRA Pro Stock and NHRA Top Fuel World Champion

Steve Enders was a kind and compassionate individual with a strong connection to his family. He enjoyed surfing, traveling with his young family, volunteering at STARS Rape Crisis Center, Keep El Paso Beautiful and Prevent Blindness Texas as well as volunteering on their board of directors.

He worked as a geologist in the uranium commodities business before transitioning to Adult Probation as an administrator.

Early Life and Education

After graduating Yale in 1920, Enders struggled to find an occupation that allowed him to explore his interests. After trying a business venture but finding it unfulfilling, he shifted into philology but found no success there either.

In 1948, he accepted a position at the Children’s Medical Center of Boston and initiated research into viruses that affect children. Through his work he pioneered a vaccine against poliomyelitis for which he shared a Nobel Prize award along with Frederick Robbins and Thomas Weller in 1954.

He began his geologist career working for Pegasus Gold, Texas Gulf and Terradex Corporation before joining Phelps Dodge Mining Company for fourteen years. Additionally, he served on the boards of directors of Galactic Resources and Cupric Canyon Capital before becoming a member of Tortoise & Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group.

Professional Career

Steve brings an extensive background in retirement planning to EWM. By conducting educational seminars and helping local businesses set up retirement plans, EWM quickly established itself as one of the go-to firms. Now focused on developing technology solutions tailored specifically for his clientele while staying abreast of ever-evolving investments and insurance landscape.

Pro Stock star Erica Enders extended her dominating year with another victory at the Texas NHRA FallNationals, riding her Melling Performance/Elite Motorsports Camaro to victory in the final round. Enders has now collected nine national event wins to her credit and currently leads teammate Aaron Stanfield by 165 points heading into the final races of Countdown to Championship.

Enders battled her way back from early elimination rounds to pass Cristian Cuadra, Matt Hartford and Kyle Koretsky before defeating Anderson in the semifinals and winning Texas two-step! Her victory secured both Houston and Dallas events – which make Enders the current defending winner for both races!

Achievement and Honors

Enders has garnered many accolades during her illustrious career. She holds five NHRA Pro Stock world championship titles and was awarded DI racer of the year honors in 2022, in addition to two top Fuel world titles.

Richie Stevens Jr, also a drag racer, and she married him on December 7th 2012 are an inseparable team, often supporting each other during races and supporting each other during practice sessions. Additionally, they share an identical sister who also competes as drag racer.

She actively contributes to several charities outside her racing career, such as STARS Rape Crisis Center, West Texas Community Supervision and Corrections and Keep El Paso Beautiful. Additionally, she’s involved with the University of Arizona where she helped grow its Next Generation Engineering Professionals Endowment Fund – aiding students seeking graduate engineering degrees at UA with financial support.

Personal Life

Enders Funeral Management owner Scott Enders brings three decades of experience to the funeral industry. He has assisted many families to design bespoke funeral services while also providing financial advice and consulting to businesses.

Enders is married to Richie Stevens Jr, having tied the knot on December 7, 2012. Their relationship has lasted 10 years now. Both parties support one another’s careers.

She has also been working on conservation projects related to chelonian species for more than 10 years through IUCN-TFTSG membership and conservation projects. Additionally, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as posting selfies on social media – her passion lies with NHRA drag racing since childhood!
