Her book, Activist Sentiments: Reading Black Women in the Nineteenth Century (2009) demonstrates how these authors’ writings incited activism through historical references embedded into them that inspired readers into action.

Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania recognized Foreman with their Paul I. Detwiler III Achievement Award in 2015. This accolade honors leaders who have made substantial contributions to social, economic and cultural development within Western Pennsylvania region. Furthermore, Foreman serves on boards for multiple community organizations.

Personal Life

He is an enthusiastic musician with an intense passion for music. He graduated with a BM and an MM degree from Oberlin Conservatory and taught in their Pre-College Division before going on to LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City as well as LaGuardia Prep High School.

She serves as a science educator, futurist, civic leader, fundraiser, philanthropist, Imago educator and knowledge worker utilizing her experience for projects related to education, family support, recovery, community building and beyond.
