Steve Humphrey is an American politician. He represents District 48 of Colorado House of Representatives.

Early Life and Education
Steve was an attentive father and husband who always found time for his family. A talented mechanic, Steve was often called upon to fix Denita’s vehicles over the years as well as work on all the farm equipment at Hamilton farms.

Dr. Humphrey not only operates his own cardiology practice in Nashville, TN but he also enjoys exercising, camping and trout fishing – hobbies he can combine with reading and cooking! An avid sports fan himself he actively supports the Indiana Bandmaster Association.
He previously served as an assistant football coach at Tusculum College where he specialized in H-Backs and tight ends, and from 1974-2000 was head wide receiver coach at South Vigo High School – coaching receivers there as well. Furthermore, he served as guest conductor for Indiana Honor Band performances.
Steve Humphrey is married to Denita Hamilton and has three sons. He has an insatiable desire for knowledge, taking advantage of educational opportunities whenever they arise. Together with Denita Hamilton he also loves traveling the world and experiencing different cultures.
He has been active in many local and state organizations. Additionally, he was an advocate for the Terre Haute Community Band and served on VanderCook College’s Board of Directors several times over time.
Humphrey was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives on January 9, 2013. He served as an at-large delegate at the 2016 Republican National Convention; initially bound to Ted Cruz before withdrawing, when Cruz made himself unavailable.
