Emily VanCamp, who portrays Sharon Carter in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), spoke with Variety recently about her character and its future within MCU, specifically her relationship with Steve Rogers (Captain America). According to VanCamp, Steve will not feature heavily in The Falcon and Winter Soldier.
Early Life and Education
Sharon Pope had an unconventional childhood. Though her parents, Alice and Elwood Pope, were originally from New Jersey, she was raised primarily in Texas because her mother was both an artist and homemaker.
Sharon discovered a passion for desert living when her children were still young. Additionally, Sharon discovered new hobbies (throwing pottery), an apartment near historic downtown Tucson and new friends for both herself and her kids.
After this, they headed off to Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. She worked at their on-center store, providing missionaries with basic supplies.
