Shelley Van Voort, Director of CASMAN Alternative School in Manistee received a highly effective rating on her annual evaluation from Donn Lemmer, Rosie Dillon and Steve Parsons of CASMAN Board of Education. Donn spoke highly of Shelley’s performance.

Stephen Patrick Cashman, known to many as “Cash,” was an exceptional husband, father, son and friend to many. Born and raised in Abington where he excelled in three sports varsity athletics in high school – hockey being his passion he continued coaching his four beloved sons along with being an avid Boston Bruins fan! A loving and dedicated family man he leaves an amazing legacy to his wife Kerry McAteer Cashman (his mother Bridget McAteer is deceased now as is brother James Cashman as well as nieces & nephews).

Stephen was a loving husband, father and friend who will be deeply missed by his loved ones: Kerry Broadford Cashman of Abington is survived by Michael, A. Barry Barry (ABBY), Brian and Kevin (BRK). Also left behind are Bridget McCAteer Cashman in Abington; brothers James Cashman (of Boston) and John Cashman (Abington); nieces and nephews as well. Stephen graduated Abington High School and was an avid Boston Bruins fan.

His practice included securities litigation, representing investors across the country in courtrooms across the nation. He served as lead trial counsel in two significant securities litigation matters (In Re Apollo Group Inc Securities Litigation and In Re McKesson HBOC Inc Securities Litigation), leading to over $1 billion being recovered for investors. In addition, he taught capital markets regulation courses at Columbia University to law, MBA and PhD students as well as interfacing with both public and private regulators.
