As an only child of a single mother in Butler, Pennsylvania he knew his finances wouldn’t allow for college tuition costs, so instead accepted an apprenticeship position at an accounting firm. After working for several years he returned to school for his degree and pursued a career in business.

Daniello was arrested Jan 18 and charged with two second-degree felonies of soliciting minors to engage in sexual activity, being booked at Broward County jail with an $60,000 bond and ordered not to contact or make contact with any individuals under 21 as well as staying 1,000 feet from both their home and school locations.

Since 2017, he has resided at his Coral Springs address. Prior to that, he lived at 12318 Royal Palm Blvd in Cape Coral for an approximate three year duration.

Professional Career

Steven Daniello has over three decades of law enforcement experience. Most recently he worked at Coral Springs Police Department as a school resource officer until being arrested on Jan 16 for allegedly soliciting an underage girl online.

He is charged with two second-degree felonies of soliciting a minor to engage in sexual conduct. He has been released on bail and ordered not to contact or approach either the victim or her family members.

He served in the military from 1987-1990 and worked alongside both Army Green Berets and Marine Raiders on Kosovo operations. While in college he provided volunteer services for homeless veterans as well as performing community service work. Additionally he has been featured on multiple reality shows.

Personal Life

He and Caralynn M Daniello have been in a relationship for over 30 years and currently reside in Coral Springs, Florida.

Daniello serves as a seasonal school resource officer (SRO) with the Broward Police Department, according to both his resume and court records. This part-time position requires him to work Monday through Friday during school year.

According to prosecutors, he offered the victim compensation in exchange for nude photos taken of her performing sexual acts for him, according to reports from law enforcement officials. Two counts have been brought against him of soliciting a minor to participate in sexual activity.

Dinello has also contributed his writing talents to The Colbert Report alongside co-stars Stephen Colbert and David Sedaris; often appearing live to help out during cold open sketches.
