Steven Fahy, a graduate student in Comparative Medicine, graduated with his BS in Human Biology from Stanford in 2019 and now runs professionally as part of Puma elite team in Chapel Hill, North Carolina – winning 2019 NCAA steeplechase championship along the way!
At first, it seemed La Costa Canyon’s Steven Fahy would succumb to Nathan Weitz on the final stretch. However, Fahy managed to stay ahead with two surges that preserved his lead and enabled him to claim victory.
Early Life and Education
Fahy notes in his own words that while he wasn’t always an exceptional student, he did have some amazing teachers. He credits his mother and father with instilling within him a work ethic which has served him well throughout life.
At Stanford, he earned both a degree in Human Biology and minor in Psychology. While competing on cross country and track teams at Stanford he was honored as five times All-American for both cross country and track; winning an NCAA steeplechase title. Now competing as a professional with Puma Elite North Carolina.
Fahy was known to enjoy bow hunting, racing 4-wheelers, bowling and golf – along with spending time with his family – while also reading avidly and playing music. He leaves behind his wife Nicole and their late daughter Zoe as well as brothers- and sister-in-law as well as nieces and nephews.
Professional Career
Steve is a partner in our Government, Regulatory & Internal Investigations Practice Group and an accomplished trial lawyer, having spent 18 years as a federal prosecutor. He possesses vast experience handling complex white collar cases, national security matters, public corruption investigations and civil false claims litigation matters.
Steven graduated with a BS in human biology and minor in psychology in 2019 from Stanford. While competing for Stanford XC, indoor track, outdoor track and steeplechase teams he earned five all-American selections across XC, indoor/outdoor track as well as an NCAA title in steeplechase (2019). Now professionally running with Puma Elite Track Club led by Alistair and Amy Cragg of Chapel Hill NC.
Steven serves as Associate Advisor for Michael, providing financial reviews and investment recommendations as well as creating visual aids to help clients comprehend their investment strategies.
Achievement and Honors
Steven Chen earned a 4.28 grade-point average while competing at Rancho Bernardo High School and excelling at both tennis and track & field sports, winning San Diego Section Championships in discus and shot put, leading her team to league victory, and taking first place at Foot Locker West Regional competitions.
Fahy recently graduated with his undergraduate degree in human biology and minor in psychology from Stanford. A five-time All-American across cross country, indoor track and outdoor track, NCAA championship in 3,000m steeplechase competition and membership of Puma Elite Running Group are among his accomplishments.
Fahy and the cast of season two of “The White Lotus” were nominated for a SAG Award for outstanding ensemble performance in a drama series in February 2023, where Fahy donned a black Ralph Lauren dress featuring an eye-catching back baring cutout to attend.
Personal Life
Steven Fahy was a dedicated family man who took great pleasure in providing for his loved ones and community. As a machinist for several local companies, he always gave 110% on each project he worked on – whether fishing at his lake house or speed boating through town. Steven loved telling jokes with his famous “sandbagger” stories!
Meghann Fahy’s performance as Daphne on “The White Lotus” has won over fans and critics. Initially she auditioned for Donna; however, Alexandra Daddario ultimately got the role.
Fahy earned his Bachelor of Human Biology at Stanford and went on to be recognized with five All-American awards across cross country running, indoor and outdoor track running, steeplechase running and NCAA steeplechase championship title in 2019. Now competing professionally for Puma Elite out of Chapel Hill North Carolina.
