Terrylee Oliver was raised in Stratton, Colorado. He attended Saint Charles Catholic School before going on to Stratton High School where he graduated. Terrylee then attended Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University before serving in the US Army briefly before transitioning back into civilian life.
His interests included playing bridge and golf, watching the Hawkeyes play football, visiting family, as well as being an enthusiastic farmer.
He leaves behind his loving and compassionate wife of Shelley from Stratton; daughters Tammy Buckles Wilson and Curtis Buckles as well as sons Jason Buckles and Aaron Buckles; grandchildren Ethan Schroeder (Ethan), Hayden (Hayden), Logan (Logan), Jakob Miller and Madison Miller and great-grandchildren Ella Williams and Jackson Williams as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply. He was truly an extraordinary individual – an excellent husband, father and grandfather who gave of himself selflessly to those he cared for so generously: family.
On March 6, 2022, 27-year-old Terrylee Oliver was declared deceased after his motorcycle collided with a van under unknown conditions in Austin’s 10500 block of North I-35 northbound service road. The driver of the van remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.

Oliver leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Ashlee Swenson-Oliver; two sons, John C. Oliver and Terry Oliver Jr; one daughter Sindy; four sisters Amanda Gowin, Janakay Ray, Deb Vilvens and Cheryl Oliver as well as several nephews and nieces.
