Thomas Hough was born February 18th 1936 in Coldwater Kansas. As a youth he learned hard work on his family farm while also becoming interested in hunting and fishing – activities which later turned into hobbies of his. Later in life he went on to work as both newspaper editor and photographer in his free time.

Tom Hough is a retired Vice Chair of Ernst and Young who has made outstanding contributions to both Birmingham’s business community as well as international markets, serving on boards such as Equifax Inc, Haverty Furniture Companies Inc, and Publix Super Markets.
At Parthenon Capital based out of Boston, he currently sources new investment opportunities and works closely with existing portfolio companies. Before that he served as EY’s Americas Assurance Services Practice Head and served as Senior Managing Director within their firm.
