The Whitesell brothers enjoy successful careers that would put them front-page material if they weren’t related. While older brother John directs TV shows and movies, younger brother Patrick works as an agent with clients such as Denzel Washington and Matt Damon; their youngest sibling Jim serves as head coach of a Division I basketball program.

Jack and Patricia did not allow any laziness among their children. Each had paper routes, helped with Jack’s numerous side projects, completed Outward Bound summer survival camps, held jobs throughout college, followed sports closely and attended outward Bound summer survival camps – not forgetting attending Outward Bound summer survival camps themselves! He was an avid sports fan as well as having coached basketball.
