Uscis New Card Is Being Produced
How Do I Know My New EAD Card is Being Produced?
Once your application for an EAD has been processed and validated by the USCIS, you can expect to receive your new card within 7 to 10 days. For a green card, the process can take up to three months. During that time, your EAD application may be rejected, but you won’t need an EAD or a work permit in the meantime.
If you haven’t already, visit the nearest USCIS office to apply. Be prepared to provide supporting documents. You may also be asked to submit your fingerprints at the interview. In order to do that, you will need a valid passport and a valid i-90 application form or i-551 appointment notice. Each of these documents will cost you around $445 USD, and you will be charged an additional $85 USD for the biometric process.
Once your case is approved by the USCIS, you can monitor the status online. You can sign up for a case status online account to receive updates on the status of your request. You can also use this account to track the status of your EAD card. You can even track the status of your EAD card via the USPS.
If you have moved and no longer live at the address you registered when applying for your green card, you will have to file for a new one through USCIS. The process for filing a new green card is the same as for renewing your old one. In addition, you will have to pay a $455 fee to the USCIS.
You should be able to receive your green card within thirty to ninety days after completing your green card interview. However, if you don’t receive it by then, you will need to contact the USCIS Contact Center or the immigration officer who conducted your interview. Alternatively, you can schedule an INFOPASS appointment to meet with an immigration officer.
